When Will My Site To Acheive Momentum

Traffic is the ultimate goal for all webmasters; we strive to attract viewers and provide value to our readers. However, as you and I both know, creating traffic is a tedious, time consuming process for any developing blog. Spending more time promoting your content than creating it isn’t exacly enjoyable, but good news is, there will come a time when you can set aside traffic growing tasks and focus on writing- bloggers rejoice!
It’s called the Tipping Point
Once you have sustained a significant amount of traffic, your viewers will naturally adopt some of the responsibilities concerning advertising for you. A large volume of visitors means that you are putting out quality content, have a better chance of the “sharing types” viewing your posts and sending them to their friends, and of other bloggers seeing your content for what it is and providing links in their own posts.
Once your writing starts receiving its just recognition, you’ll see traffic levels gradually increase. This is known as Escape Velocity. At this point, your site has gained enough exposure and traction for it to sustain itself, much like a snowball rolling downhill. Content you generate will dissemenate across the web by its own accord, and you will be free to stop backlinking and promoting your blog.
When Will You Reach This Point?
It’s difficult to measure how long it takes to acheive enough momentum for this to occur. Many bloggers say it takes months, but naturally, it will differentiate from blogger to blogger. For many, it will start occurring once you acheive three hundred visits a day on a regular basis. It may take longer, or happen sooner, but this statistic is a reasonable goal.
It’s important to realize that this won’t all happen overnight. Your readers will gradually take on advertising responsiblities over time, and you will start to notice more shares, increasing traffic, and more backlinks well before your blog actually takes off. You might notice more links after your first month in, but this doesn’t mean you can relax just yet. Keep promoting your website well after the tipping point, to insure you don’t lose momentum just as it peaks.
How Do I Acheive this Awesome?
Reaching escape velocity is the hard part. My only advice to you is to be thoroughly deligent in your promotion efforts and try to build up as much of a viewer-base as possible via various blogging strategies. The more people viewing your content, the more people sharing it. You have to really promote yourself to gain the fame and recognition required for your writing to self-dessimenate. It could take weeks, months, or even years, but if you keep pumping out useful content, slinging your product all over the web, and exposing your blog to a targeted audience, it will eventually happen. After that, you will be free to do what you really want with your blog and not have to spend so much effort promoting it. Heck, you might even make cash with all this newfound traffic!

How To Drive Hoards Of Visitors To Your Site …In Less Than 20 Minutes A Day

This article will discuss a technique you can use to gain some long term, and very quick traffic.

You don’t have to pay for this traffic, yet it is still high quality.

Also, you can spend as little as 20 minutes a day on this (and enjoy yourself), yet still ‘out do’ other traffic building methods.

This is about joining in with conversations in your niche – aka ‘blog commenting’ – although, I dislike the second term, as it conjures up the image of spamming everything in site with automated software.

Of course this little guide is not about that, and I don’t recommend it either.

What we want to do here is set up a little alert system to let us know when someone has written a blog post (or web page with commenting enabled) that discusses something specific.

The idea here is to jump into the conversation and leave a helpful comment. You can then link back to your site, as most comment forms enable this.

For SEO purposes, you can try and leave your chosen keyword as your name, so it becomes an anchortext link pointing to your site, which obviously is great for your SERPS. However, think first before doing this, as sometimes blog owners will delete your comment, considering it spam.

So,
it’s better to simply leave your name. Surprisingly, you still get a fair amount of clicks, as people admire those who are helpful and knowledgeable. The blog visitors are far more likely to click through in this case.

Tip: If you’re being extra helpful, you can sometimes link back to your site within the actual comment itself, although again, be careful, and see it the blog owner usually lets people do this before you try.

Also, if you leave a link in the comment, I’d advise against using html to create an anchortext link. Some blogs have html turned off in the comments, so all you’ll end up with is garbled html as a comment.

No point in spending time writing a comment just to get it deleted…

Okay, back to the technique.

As I mentioned, you set up some kind of system that alerts you to new blog posts about your chosen niche or keyword phrase. There are two
ways we can do is:

1.) Find the most popular blogs or websites in your niche. The first place to look is the top, most popular ‘guru’s’ in your niche – the
ones who consistently get a lot of comments on each post.

Alternatively, check out technorati’s ‘top 100′ blogs, and find the biggest in your niche.

We then subscribe to their feed. Usually the blogs will send their own alert out when a new post is published, but I find it quicker to put
the feed directly into a feed reader (you can download free ones, like AlertBear), and set it to make a sound and notify you.

We want to be notified as quick as possible, so we can jump over their in an instant to leave our comment. This is because the first few comments are the ones that get read the most – thus giving you the most traffic.

Not many people will read every comment, especially if there’s hundreds – so if you hear the alert, drop everything and get over their quick!

2.) Google alerts. With this, you can write in any keyword or subject, and you’ll be notified whenever a new page or post is created on the whole internet (as long as Google has indexed it) which includes those keywords.

You can set up alerts to notify you instantly, or at a certain time each day. If you’re not in a position to jump onto any alerts, then at least you can set a certain time each day to concentrate on them.

3.) Google blog search or blog commenting software. If you want to get to work straight away, you can use Google blog search to research any places to leave comments. It works just like Google alerts, but in real time.

You can even set it to show you blog posts that were published in the last hour, so you can still be in with a chance of being one of the first commenters.

You can do the same with blog commenting software, like Comment Kahuna, which can bring some advanced filtering, and make the process easier.

Please don’t underestimate this traffic tactic. It can far surpass other traffic building techniques, and can even be done in place of SEO. You just need to put consistent effort in, and the traffic will come. It will also remain as long as the site owners keep their posts there.

The other benefit is becoming well known as an expert. In your particular niche, especially by regular readers.

FeedYourPosts REVIEW – Automatic For The People – User Generated Web Content

If there is one thing that people are being told to do with our websites is to add new content. Although this is easy said, how will you add quality useful content regularly? Most smaller businesses is one or a couple companies who’re trying to fit everything in all at the same time. Adding an internet page every day for their website is real hard work and sadly isn’t seen as a business priority.
If you’re stuck within this rut and haven’t updated your site for a while, it might be time to add some user generated content facilities.
User generated content to put it simply, is allowing your site visitors to add their content for your site. It might be some feedback on the product or review. It could be a posting on your website forum. What about letting visitors post articles to your site or letting them add themselves for your business directory?
Can you observe how this can raise the interactivity of the website and reveal that it is constantly being updated? Search engines like google particularly like a constantly updated website. The greater you update, the more often they will send their search engine spiders and crawlers to talk to your site.
Don’t misunderstand me though, there’s still a bit of work to do, you’ll have to manage and approve what submissions are to become put live but an hour approving 20 or 30 pages of new completely unique content must be a good thing. Are you able to think how long it will take to create that amount of content? Twenty to thirty hours if you write as slowly as me!
Okay , so what can I actually do to add some User Generated Content to my Site?
Here are some ideas for content generation. Where possible I have also added links to get some free scripts that you can use.
Article Content
You could allow users to submit articles to your site. You could then begin using these on your website or newsletter. Having a large selection of articles rated for your specific niche is an extremely positive thing and supply your visitors with a few great content and a fresh perspective. You can advertise for Authors or ask others in your industry. Experts could sign themselves up with an account and begin article marketing. You’d adjust need to spend a couple of minutes approving or declining before publishing.
Forums
One thing that gets a site interactive quicker than other things is the addition of a Forum or Bulletin Board. Giving Visitors a platform to go over your products, services and marketplace in general is a superb way to build traffic. Some sites even use a facility to build and send out newsletters for their registered users based on their Forums.
Guestbooks
While not as popular anymore, there’s nothing stopping you utilizing a Guestbook to drive more content to your site. Ask people to stop by and leave a comment.
Make sure you police it though! You might find your web hosting comes complete with a GuestBook Script. You can use GuestBooks in many different ways, just because it’s a Guest Book Script does not mean you need to use it as such. You could utilize it to post site updates or product info snippets. You could use it to develop Testimonials.
Comment Scripts
With the advent of Blogs came the ability to leave a comment on your posts which helped build this content in your site. Now, you will find scripts around that you could add to your site pages, such as article or product review pages, and allow visitors to leave comments. This then implies that your pages are changing constantly and a changing page is as good as a new page for that search engine spiders.

A Fairy Tale of The Webmasters’ World, Google and How to Win His Love

The online world is a strange and peculiar place. If you have decided to become a professional blogger, a webmaster, an online marketer, or all of them, you will need to know the ins and outs of this Kingdom, Who’s the King, who to trust and who to follow. This short guide is by no means comprehensive, but a good read to prepare yourself into a new world.

Google is the king

In this kingdom, at one point or another, you will have to realize the power of Google. Yeah I know, there are also Bing, Yahoo and other big guys out there. But by all means, Google is the king of the online kingdom, with the ultimate power of raising your site to the front page on one night and decide to throw it to hell the other. All of your online activities will have to cater for his wants.

Google didn’t use to have this great Power Ranger power. Years ago people could rank keywords such as “buy Viagra” or “online surveys” on the first page with only throwing out spammy links everywhere over the net. Powerful “Viagra” or “online casino” wizards were in range spamming everyone.

There was a time that you can just stuff a web page mostly only with your keywords and Google would give you a high ranking only because of that.

But that era has now long gone and Google has gotten smarter and can detect if you are a good witch or a bad witch.

How does Google separate the good witches from the bad witches?

Google has this army of little spiders (aka. bots, crawlers) that crawl the internet kingdom all the time, finding new published contents to index and arrange them in order based on an array of criteria.

This array of criteria has gotten more and more sophisticated over the years to identify the good witches to put on its first pages and the bad witches to weed out and put into a cursed land called “Sandbox”.

And trust me, you wouldn’t want to end up there.

A good video to help you understand more about how Google and his army work:

Under Google’s eyes, there are good and bad neighborhoods in the internet kingdom.

In the good one, websites grow organically with fresh and original contents that are updated regularly, high authority websites love them and link to them and people share their contents to others cheerily.

The good witches (who wear white hats, by the way)  are the ones that use their magic to create great, unique and quality content that benefit people’s lives, build and maintain a trustworthy and recognizable brand.

Google the great loves the good neighborhoods and give them more privilege, put them in the first pages of the search engine so that more people could find them and read them.

Of course there are always those who kiss ass and bribe Google to get their way up to the front page and our king love them even more, as, well, the man has to eat!

The bad neighborhoods

On the opposite, bad neighborhoods are full of websites with crappy and thin contents that are linked to by spammy and also poorly produced websites.

Visitors make their way out quickly after stumbling upon these sites and never look back. You wouldn’t want to be associated with these areas.

Witches in the dark, or the ones who wear black hats, utilize all spammy tricks to get links and some are very good in disguising themselves. Therefore Google the Great also has to think of all tactics in the world to recognize and punish them.

Algorithm changes and the spam fights

Google the Great always tries his best to spot and “sandbox” these sites. He sends out his messenger, Matt Cutts, to every corner of the Kingdom to announce every one of his new rules and regulations.

If you want to be a part of this Kingdom, you should follow him too.

He rolled out several major campaigns per year to alter the search results for better user experience. One of the biggest campaigns is called “Panda” to find and weed out bad quality sites and reward good ones.

Moz, one of the most renowned wizards in the webmasters’ world, has recorded a list of all Google campaigns and spam fights since the beginning of history.  If you are into Google history, it’s worth taking a look.

How to stay safe and be loved by Google

No one wants to be penalized by Google, everyone wants to be on his good side and gets to his love list. So as a newbie in the webmaster world, how to make sure you are always in the good neighborhood?

Here are 5 golden points to keep in mind all the time when you are living in this Google kingdom:

Produce original and fresh contents regularly, Google is happy when your readers are happy
Make sure that your content is well optimized or other words, alter your content in a way that Google bot army understands it better.
Build links quality link partners, which mean with websites that have high pagerank, established history and good reader base
Establish a presence in social media and brand yourself. Google loves personal branding and social groupies
Do not use tactics that involve spamming of anyway (Yes, sending generic comments to a million blogs is spamming!)
Serious About Blogging will help you find your way around this kingdom, answer your questions and give you the best possible guidance so that you will always stay on Google’s good side, get promoted, and prosper in the webmasters’ world.
